How to Make the Best Coffee

The Secrets to Making the Best Coffee

DID YOU KNOW?
The most significant factor in producing a great cup of coffee is the freshness of the bean. Following the roasting process, coffee beans need a few days of curing - (in some cases, up to 14 days). Then the flavour is at it’s best. Everyday after that the flavour intensity drops.

You can see why supermarket coffee is always too old and can never produce the flavour of freshly roasted coffee beans. ORDER the best coffee today from Isolbaella.  Select from our great range of blends - click GO SHOPPING on this page.

Grinding is the next most important factor in making good coffee. Ideally the coffee beans should be ground immediately prior to making the coffee. From then on the flavour is quickly lost. Pre ground coffee should be kept in a sealed air tight container to preserve the flavour.

There is some difference of opinion among coffee experts about the suggestion that ground coffee should be kept in the freezer or refrigerator.  Experiment yourself and see what you think - experimenting is part of what we call coffee culture.

But one thing is for certain - unless you live in extremely hot and humid environment, whole bean coffee should NOT be refrigerated and definitely Not be frozen.

HINT:
Plunger coffee must be coarse ground.  Espresso coffee must be finely ground. A good barista is checking his coffee all day and adjusting the grind to suit the temperature and humidity.

REMEMBER:
Order pre ground coffee for your plunger from Isolabella but order small quantities regularly to ensure you maintain that full flavour of freshly roasted beans. And keep both ground and whole bean coffee in an air tight container.
